🎨On The Art Style

Cyberpunk-inspired visuals and a distopian AI-dominated society

While utility is our main focus as a project, we devoted a considerable amount of time to developing an Art style that could resonate with most holders and leave room for further storytelling development going forward. Our 2d art theme is an extension of the Cyberpunk sub-culture that saw its inception in the '80s, thanks to famous science fiction writers like William Gibson and comic-books illustrators like Katsuhiro Otomo. We like the idea of re-exploring the cyberpunk genre as a lens connecting with recent debates surrounding the future implications of AI and blockchain technology on our everyday lives and society as a whole.

There are a few reasons why, artistically speaking, the Cyberpunk genre is not wildly popular in NFT projects in general. The main one is that often the art is visually shocking and intense. It is thought-provoking but at the same time difficult to digest in a few seconds because of the amount of details contained in it. This is why PFP projects tend to prefer other easier pop culture themes and narratives. Therefore we tried to achieve a balance by toning down the shocking visuals, opting for a cleaner line art, while keeping intact the main art characterizations of the cyberpunk sub-genre.

Our Lore on the other hand draws heavily from the ongoing debate surrounding the impact of blockchain technology and artificial intelligence on society in the future. As such, our cyber-punk aesthetic includes several symbols and references to contemporary blockchain subcultures which our holders might find amusing.

In terms of composition, our base characters are drawn from a frontal view perspective and in half length, quite different from the usual half-bust animal PFPs. We believe this structure allows us to convey more depth and expressiveness with the characters and deliver better story-telling as a whole.
